Warranty & Service
Every TENSA is assembled and tested by hand by the person who designed it, and we stand behind each unit for as long as it exists.
3-year warranty
- Term: 3 years from the day the unit is delivered to you.
- What it covers: the mixer, the power supply and the cable between them, against defects in parts and workmanship. Defects are fixed by repair or, if repair is not possible, by replacement of the part or the unit.
- Who it covers: the original buyer, private person or company, with our invoice as proof of purchase. The warranty is not transferable: if the unit is sold on, it does not pass to the new owner.
- A repair does not shorten the warranty. A part replaced under warranty is covered until the end of the original term, and for at least 6 months.
Our warranty and your legal rights
If you are a private customer in the EU, the law already gives you a legal guarantee of conformity against the seller. In Spain it lasts 3 years from delivery and covers defects that were present when the unit was delivered to you.
- During the first 2 years, any defect that shows up is presumed to have been there from the start. You don't have to prove anything.
- In the 3rd year, the law asks the buyer to show that the defect was already there at delivery.
- Under the legal guarantee you can ask for repair or replacement, free of charge, shipping included. A price reduction or a refund applies if neither is possible or they don't solve the problem.
Our warranty works alongside the legal guarantee and also covers tubes, companies and customers outside the EU. Whether a fault is covered is decided after we inspect the unit: faults caused by use outside our instructions, such as the wrong mains voltage, are not covered (see below).
This warranty does not limit your legal rights in any way. You can always rely on the legal guarantee instead.
Tubes
Tubes are selected and burned in before they go into your TENSA, and they are covered by the same 3-year warranty: if a tube fails within 3 years of delivery, we replace it free of charge. After that, we supply selected, tested tubes at cost for as long as we can source them.
What the warranty does not cover
- Damage caused by connecting the unit to the wrong mains voltage, by using a power supply or cable other than the one supplied, or by connecting or disconnecting the cable while the power supply is on.
- Units opened, modified or repaired by anyone other than TENSA or a service partner we approved in writing. Opening the power supply is dangerous: it carries up to 350 V DC.
- Drops, impacts, liquids, fire, lightning or mains surges, and damage in transit when the unit is sent without adequate packaging.
- Normal wear: worn knobs, panel printing and finishes, and the gradual change of potentiometers with use.
- Natural features of wood. The side panels are made of solid wood. Variations in grain and colour, darkening with age and small changes with humidity are part of the material, not defects.
How to make a claim
- Email [email protected] with your invoice number, the serial number and a short description of the problem; a video helps. Many problems can be solved remotely, so please do not ship anything before we reply.
- If the unit has to come to us, we tell you how to pack and send it. Use the original box if you still have it.
-
Shipping costs:
- EU customers within the warranty term: we pay shipping both ways.
- Customers outside the EU: shipping both ways, and any customs fees or duties for sending the unit to us and back, are paid by you. Parts and labour are free within the warranty term. We help with the paperwork for a temporary export for repair, so that duties are not charged twice.
After the warranty
We keep servicing every TENSA after the warranty runs out. Repairs are charged at cost of parts plus labour, and we always quote before we start. Spare parts are available for at least 10 years after a model goes out of production.
