The PCB is final, the enclosures fit
The PCB goes to production
The headline: the main mixer PCB is essentially finished. The last revisions are in, and right now it is all polishing — fine-tuning the geometry to the new enclosure. Within the week the board goes out for manufacturing, and this is most likely the version that will go into production, with minor changes at most.
The power supply is fully done — that part was closed earlier.
The enclosures are here — and everything fits
The enclosures have arrived from the factory, and they are good. We have already test-fitted the hardware: everything lands exactly where it should.
Wood: possibly our own CNC
The wooden cheeks are a question that is gradually being solved. We are considering buying a small CNC machine of our own: then we can cut the cheeks ourselves, from any kind of wood, without depending on subcontractors.
Packaging and a dust cover
Packaging is still open — both outside and inside: how to fit the mixer and the power supply together as compactly as possible.
And a separate task — the dust cover. The plan is to make it from leatherette, with embroidery, shaped exactly to the mixer: put it on and the unit stays clean when it is not in use. The cover will come with the mixer, so the owner has everything looking right from day one.
A visit to Acid Nation
We visited Acid Nation — met the label and shop crew and showed them the mixer in person. They were genuinely interested and promised all the support they can give. We expect the first final units within a couple of months — and we will be back there with one.
